About me
Cheryl is one of six Alberta Teachers’ Association Walking Together Consultants. She has over 26 years of teaching experience at the junior high level in a variety of subject areas, including language arts, social studies and science. Cheryl is Métis, with family migrating from Red River to lands that are in the northeast of Treaty 6. She is on secondment to the Walking Together team from Edmonton Public Schools. Throughout her career, she is honoured to be a recipient of an Edwin Parr Award, APEGA Awards, Alberta Education Excellence in Education awards and the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
